(“CRG”) and governs data collection and usage concerning personally identifiable information and any consumer health data you provide to us when registering or participating in our research studies. CRG is in the business of conducting clinical research for the beauty and personal care industry. By using the CRG website and by signing up to potentially participate in a study, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

 

Collection of your Personal Information

In order to sign up as a research participant, CRG may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

• First and Last Name
• Mailing Address
• E-mail Address
• Phone Number
• Date of Birth

CRG may also collect demographic information, such as your:

• Age
• Gender
• Ethnicity

CRG may also collect certain health or medical information relevant to your participation in our clinical studies.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us.

You may be required to provide additional certain personal information to us if you seek to enroll in a study, including information about your health history and current medications as part of a preliminary telephone or online screener or as part of an inclusion/exclusion criteria following your consent to participate in a study.

We will use your information for communicating with you in relation to your participation in a study and/or in conjunction with your participation in a research study. Your participation in a research study, may also require us to seek additional personal, health related or non-personal information in the future.

 

Use of your Personal Information

CRG collects and uses your personal information to conduct clinical research services, either to solicit your participation as a research subject or to permit your continue participation as a research subject.

 

Sharing Information with Third Parties

CRG does not sell, rent, or lease its subject participant lists to third parties. CRG does not share your identifiable personal data with its sponsoring companies. Any personally identifying information about you that is shared with a sponsoring company, such as a date of birth, health history, medications, is de-identified and anonymized so the sponsoring company cannot connect the data to you personally. Your information will be coded using unique 2 to 4 digit subject number, rather than your name. The sponsoring companies do not have the ability to re-identify any data shared.

CRG may share data with trusted partners to help send you email or postal mail, provide customer or IT support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to CRG, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

CRG may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on CRG or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CRG; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of CRG, or the public.

 

Automatically Collected Information

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by CRG. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the CRG website.

 

Children Under Thirteen

CRG does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen via its website. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

 

E-mail Communications

From time to time, CRG may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication.

In accordance with federal law setting rules for commercial emails, we agree to:

• Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way
• Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters
• Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests promptly – within 10 days.

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email or text messages from CRG, you may opt out of such communications by replying to the email and stating that you wish to opt out or words to that affect.

After providing information about yourself to CRG, you have the right to:

• Correct any in accuracies in the personal data you provide to us;
• Request that any personal data provided by you be deleted (as legally allowed);
• Obtain a copy of any personal data provide by you; and
• Request to opt-out of our database at any time

CRG takes the protection of your personal information seriously. Should a data breach of your protected personally identifiable information occur we will notify you pursuant to Minnesota’s Data Breach Notification Statute or any other laws, rules or regulations to the extent applicable.

CRG reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our site, and/or by updating any privacy information on this page. Anyone who is asked to participate in a research study at CRG or who is asked to consent on behalf of minor has the following rights:

• To be fully informed of the nature and purpose of the research study including all procedures to be performed/followed.
• To be treated with respect in every aspect of the research process.
• To have adequate time to consider whether to participate.
• To be given a description of any risks, discomforts and/or inconveniences reasonably expected from participation.
• To be given a description of any benefits you may reasonably expect from participation or be informed of no possible benefit.
• To be provided an explanation of any alternative procedures that might be available to you, as well as the relative risks and benefits.
• To ask any questions about the research study or other procedures involved.
• To be told about how you may be withdrawn and that you may ask to withdraw, at anytime, without changing your rights to healthcare or other services.
• To decide whether to participate in the research study without force, fraud, deceit, duress, coercion, or undue influence.
• To be given a signed and dated copy of the consent form, when one is required for the research.
• To be informed of where to get medical treatment if problems from the research study arise, if applicable.
